Eighty-four-year-old Paula has a dangerously high level of potassium in her blood.  Derek, aged 74,  is admitted after suffering a suspected stroke. Plus, 31-year-old fireman Glenn arrives with a suspected abscess in his throat alongside his inseparable twin brother.

Follow the staff and patients of St. George’s Hospital, London as they cope with a typical 24 hour shift in the emergency department.
