This year’s charity raising Children in Need sees Tess Daly and Greg James presenting an evening of entertainment. It begins with a performance from the hit West End musical Aladdin and a special children’s edition of Would I Lie to You?

At 8.00pm The cast of EastEnders perform a dance montage of 1980s movie classics and a children’s choir of over 1,500 members sings in unison across the nation. There’s an exclusive first look at the Doctor Who Christmas special.

At 8.30pm Graham Norton and Ade Adepitan present as a group of children receive a very special surprise from Little Mix. Plus, an Olympic-themed Strictly Come Dancing featuring some of the members of Team GB.

At 9.00pm Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins help Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne in his quest to find Pudsey Bear.

At 9.30pm The final leg of The One Show’s amazing rickshaw challenge. Plus, the first winner of The Sir Terry Wogan Fundraiser of Year Award is announced and Craig David is in the studio to perform the official Children in Need single, All We Needed.

The fundraising continues on BBC Two and concludes on BBC One at 10.40pm.
