Paul Makings’ wife died shortly after giving birth to their sixth child, and he has been valiantly holding the family together as they grieve. But he’s facing even more problems – living in a two-bedroom house he has started to extend, and forced to sleep on the sofa. Nick Knowles and the team are joined by more than 100 locals in Misterton, Nottinghamshire, as they take on their biggest home build ever. However, they have to battle against a blizzard to complete the job in nine days. However, they are further hindered by their cramped house. But our Nick comes to the rescue to give them a house which will improve their future.
Nick Knowles and the team rally round as many tradesman volunteers to work alongside the friends, family and local trades to help transform the homes of families across Britain who desperately need a helping hand.
