In this art deco special, George takes on a challenging period property in Newquay, owned by Gareth and Frances Jenkins. The building was once an architectural gem, but over the years has been the victim of unsympathetic modernisations, making it unrecognisable from its 1930s heyday. The challenge is to strip away the ugly accretions to reveal the house in all its glory – while also making it suitable for modern family living. Plus, George visits a stunning seaside home and Britain’s biggest collection of neon signs. Last in the series.
