The culinary competition returns with chefs battling it out for the opportunity to cook at a banquet held at the Palace of Westminster celebrating ordinary Britons honoured by the Queen, with the contenders being challenged to showcase contemporary cuisine and demonstrate the transformation in British food during Elizabeth II’s reign. The contest begins with entrants all representing Scotland for the first time, with Adam Handling, Michael Bremner and Ally McGrath preparing their starters.
