The first in a two-part festive special catching up with Alan, Celia and their families. Two years after the death of her wife, Caroline faces further changes when she hears about a job at a different school, with her mother and Alan not too happy at the thought of her moving away, but it seems their amateur dramatics is their prime concern. Meanwhile, Gillian is racked with guilt over Eddie’s death and is convinced he is haunting her. Family drama, starring Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire and Nicola Walker.
