An elderly lady arrives in A&E showing signs of a stroke, and the neurologist decides on a treatment that only has a slim chance of success. An elderly diabetic gentleman has a toe infection which may mean in the loss of his foot. And a woman is left with abrasions to her eye lids after using false eye lashes.

24 Hours in A&E follows the staff and patients of St. George’s Hospital, London as they cope with a typical 24 hour shift in the emergency department.
