Eighty-one-year-old cyclist Bill is hit by a car and unfortunately was not wearing a helmet. Doctors fear he may have sustained a serious head injury. Meanwhile, 93-year-old Amy arrives in A&E with her friend after a clothes airer fell on top of her while she was hanging out the washing. Plus, an emergency nurse practitioner looks after 78-year-old Samuel, who landed on his face after falling over some boxes.
24 Hours in A&E follows the staff and patients of St. George’s Hospital, London as they cope with a typical day’s shift in the emergency department.
