A new three part series. which takes a look at the amazing behaviours displayed by some of the natural world’s most attentive parents. The first episode looks at those animals that are tasked with raising their offspring by themselves. Such as the slow loris which smothers her baby in toxic saliva, the Weddell seal puts her pup through a grueling winter boot camp, a weedy sea dragon camouflaging his eggs against his body and the giant Pacific octopus dies for her brood.
