Catch up with the most recent festive episode of Jools’ Annual Hootenanny 2016 from Saturday, 31 December 2016 at 11.20pm on BBC Two. Available to watch online on BBC  iPlayer.

Jools Holland presents his 24th annual Hootenanny, featuring veteran  and modern artists. There’s Chaka Khan, Gregory Porter, Imelda May and Ruby Turner are all on the bill, as are Seasick Steve, Ali Campbell, Christine & the Queens, and Move/Wizzard maestro Roy Wood.

Others appearing include Paris-based electro act Caravan Palace, Irish rockabilly star Imelda May, and poet John Cooper Clarke, in collaboration with former Stranger Hugh Cornwell. As the midnight hour draws near, the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards are on hand to announce the arrival of January 1.

As usual, Jools’ own Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will be backing many of the solo stars. As well as the musical entertainment, Jools chats to the celebrity audience members, asking them to share their thoughts on the past year and give their predictions for 2016.
