A former soldier who works in a hotel in Cairo, Egypt. He discovers evidence against the international arms dealer Richard Roper. However, his attempts to assist British intelligence in helping to capture the criminal has horrific consequences. Five years later, now living in Switzerland, he works in a hotel and finds he is regularly frequented by Roper.
Determined to make amends for his previous failure, he reunites with his contact at British intelligence and together they form a plan to infiltrate the arms dealer’s inner circle.
