The long-running talent contest returns, bringing with it a reunion for the judging panel, as veterans Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh all reclaim their seats, joining show creator Simon Cowell to assess the latest crop of would-be stars. Also coming back to the X Factor family this year is presenter Dermot O’Leary, who takes over hosting duties from Caroline Flack and Olly Murs. As ever, the contest gets under way with the auditions stage, in which Cowell and co will be expected to successfully identify the stars of tomorrow from the thousands of hopeful competitors taking to the stage.
